Timeless | A Chicago Hyperlapse Film 4K

My friend Ian and I went downtown Chicago for 2 days and shot all day and night. We have never created a hyperlapse before but we thought we could give it a shot and I think it turned out pretty well. We went through three 32gb SD cards and one 16gb SD card; one of which I had to buy at the Walgreens on Michigan since we needed more storage for our 4000 photos. I took the photos into lighroom first and edited all of them, then turned the pictures into videos and stabilized them in after effects, and finally I edited the clips in premiere pro. The editing actually took longer than taking the photos. This was really fun to make and I hope to make more.

We both used Nikon D5200s and kit lenses, and a few shots were taken with a Sigma 105mm Macro lens. The kit lens aren’t the sharpest in the world, but they are the most versatile and widest angle lenses that we own.
