In this tutorial, I show you how to make 4K HDR timelapse with Photomatix and After Affects. This tutorial is kinda long because it takes a long time to make an HDR timelapse video but if you follow this tutorial, you should be able to make your own 4K HDR timelapse with virtual zooming/panning affects.
For zooming, use “s” key on your keyboard to change zoom and for panning, use “p” key on your keyboard to change position for Adobe After Effects.
Now, I didn’t include a tutorial on how to shoot bracketed photos, which you will have to do with your Canon, Nikon, Sony, or Panasonic camera but there’s a ton of guides out there. I will also make a tutorial on that soon if you guys are interested.
I normally don’t make tutorials like this but since I was making a 4K HDR timelapse here in Bangkok, I figured I would hit the record button while making it. The HDR timelapse in this video is just one of many clips from the main 4K timelapse I am working on. It takes an average of 2-3 hours for a short 10-second clip.
