Class V, Gore Canyon is arguable the most difficult and dangerous commercially rafted whitewater stretches in North America. Each August, kayakers and rafters compete to see who can paddle the stretch the fastest but most are happy just finishing in one piece. Gore Canyon is located on the upper stretches of the Colorado River near Kremmling, CO and Summit County.
